
Dr. Bob Nelson is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at the Kremen School of Education, and Founder of #MilitantPositivity, LLC, a speaking and consulting firm. He served over seven years as Superintendent of Fresno Unified School District and also led Chawanakee Unified. Dr. Nelson holds a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Fresno State, where he also lectured. A father of seven, he advocates for foster and special needs children, adoption, and the use of social media in education. His specialties include educational leadership, community development, talent management, union negotiation, and special education.

Raised with a commitment to societal good and trained as a social worker, Naren grew up in healthcare leadership and edtech entrepreneurship. With experience leading organizations, supporting growth, and serving nonprofit boards, he focuses on creating value, enhancing human experiences, and enabling capabilities. Naren's purpose is to help children reach their fullest potential, driving his bold goal to close the 11-year gap between the onset and treatment of mental illness in children. His dream is to empower one million children in overcoming anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and social challenges.
